Column EPS

Column EPS provides steering assistance with an electro-mechanical power unit mounted on the upper column (ColPAS). This system is specially designed for the high acoustic requirements and existing installation space in the cockpit area. It provides rack forces of up to 12 kN. With the modular design, costs are optimized, adjusted to the specific requirements. Essentially, the modularity comprises the following points:

Characteristics:

  • Steering column is fixed or electrically adjustable
  • I-Shaft adapted to torque with three increments
  • Variable power stages from 200 to 800 watts
  • Free positioning of the power pack within the installation space
  • Steering functions adapted for the customer
